Legacy Video

Each year, Eastern Bank’s Wainwright Social Justice Award recognizes nonprofits or individuals who have achieved outstanding success in addressing social justice issues. Bridge Street Productions was contracted to create this video to honor the 2015 winner, John Rosenthal for his courageous advocacy that has resulted in laws that make it more difficult for children, criminals and the mentally ill to gain access to firearms. Said Richard E. Holbrook, Chairman and CEO, Eastern Bank. “John and his colleagues at Stop Handgun Violence have helped Massachusetts become the national leader in gun violence prevention. We sincerely thank John for making Massachusetts a safer place to live and work.” Mike Chvany coordinated production locally and edited the final piece.

Those who help build non-profit organizations are typically selfless individuals who dedicate themselves to long hours because they believe in the core mission of the organization. In this case, one of the “Founding Fathers” of a local youth development program was retiring after helping build and sustain the program that has served thousands of Boston’s youth over the years. We had a good amount of footage from our archives to work from, so this was a fun piece to put together.

When the DentaQuest Institute was launching a new on-line learning initiative with the Medical University of South Carolina to promote practice management efficiencies in Federally Qualified Oral Health Centers, Bridge Street was asked to produce a meeting opener to help provide the necessary context for folks to understand the genesis of the Safety Net Solutions program.  It turned into a nice tribute to Mark Doherty, the executive director of Safety Net Solutions.
