This segment was Meeting opener, and the first of  5 video roll-ins that appeared as part of an hour long live presentation that was put together to reinforce Yale’s mission as one of the preeminent institutions of higher learning in the US.

Ask Your Doctor About Trump: Dog-walker

Longtime friend and colleague Ollie Hallowell had an idea to create a spot about The Donald based on those Big Pharma ads that perpetuate the airwaves.    In the process, he inspired me to produce a variation of the theme.  I recruited longtime friend, colleague, neighbor and dogowner,  Mike Rothenberg of Peak Productions to help out with production.  We shot everything in our neighborhood using his trusty OSMO.  Sadly, it didn’t seem to have much impact on the election outcome.

Vanquish Landing Page Video

This testimonial video was produced for NY Plastic surgeon, Dr. Sherrell Aston.  It highlights the benefits of BTL’S Vanquish product, a non-invasive treatment that allows physicians to reduce circumference of the entire abdominal area and tone the upper thighs.

This piece represents a very typical production strategy for these sorts of “news magazine” type , testimonial driven profiles.  There were 3 of us on the crew.  We used 2 cameras and shot 4 interviews and all our b-roll in one day, on-location in NYC.  The segment was written, directed and edited by Mike Chvany, with camera and production support provided by Jake Thomas and John Holowitz.

IBM R U Ready

This video was produced about 10 years ago. At the time, IBM was confronting the fact that younger workers expected to be able to work with any device, at any time, anywhere. This video was asking potential employees: Are You Ready for the next generation of workers? Will you be able to let them work the way they want to work? It’s funny how relevant it remains today.

The 2 camera shoot was directed and written by Mike Chvany, on location in NYC. After we shot our interviews, we dispatched 2 solo cameramen with small format cameras to capture street scenes and supportive b-roll with our interviewees and add some visual interest.
